Some Thoughts to Consider: A national sample of over 10,000 physicians were surveyed to assess the association between managed care and physicians' provision of charity care. Results indicated that physicians who derive at least 85% of their practice revenue from managed care plans were considerably less likely to provide charity care than physicians with little involvement in managed care plans (p. .01). JAMA, 1999, 281. 1087-1092 According to Jay Conrad Levinson: "Marketing is everything you do to promote your business, from the moment you conceive of it to the point at which customers buy your product or service and begin to patronize your business on a regular basis. The key words to remember are everything and regular basis... Every type of entrepreneurial enterprise requires marketing. There are no exceptions. It's not possible to succeed without marketing." |
